Due to the inherent properties of the Merino Wool, this balaclava is naturally odor resistant with moisture management properties. Offering UPF35 protection from the sun, you can protect your neck from the harsh rays and ultimately a post-adventure sunburn. The TENCEL™ Active Cellulosic fibers are derived from renewable wood sources and this MaxClava is 100% biodegradable, meaning it's a sustainable option for your winter wardrobe.

I used this under my snowboard helmet for added warmth, but around the chin area started to fray after a few days and then after about 5 weeks I just noticed there are now holes in this area. That was caused by either friction with the helmet chin strap or my jacket.
