Back in 1982, a single mom named Millie Merrill stitched together the first fleece neck warmer in the basement of The Yellow Turtle — her children's clothing shop in Stowe, Vermont. She called it The Turtle's Neck®, and it freed skiers from the tangled, burdensome scarves they'd been wrestling with for years. A small invention with a big ripple. More than 40 years later, the moxie and grit Millie brought to that basement are still woven into everything we make.
